Is It Safe to Buy Backlinks? What Google Actually Says
Buying backlinks carries some risk, and I won’t pretend it doesn’t. Google’s spam policies list buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam, and ask for paid placements to be marked rel=“sponsored”.
Most link building, mine included, sits in a gray area. You pay for research, writing and outreach, and part of the price is usually the site owner’s fee. What gets sites in trouble is a pattern: dozens of cheap links at once, sites with nothing to do with your topic, and the same keyword anchor on every link. Google mostly ignores links like that, and a manual action can follow when the pattern is obvious.
So I keep each order small and relevant, vary the anchors (see my anchor text ratios), and space links out over weeks. If that sounds slower than you want, I’m probably not the right seller for you.

Private blog networks are sites built only to pass links. When Google finds the network, every link in it stops counting at once.

Nobody can write, place and check real links at that price. Those come from automated tools and link farms.
Links on hacked or borrowed sites
Some sellers slip links onto sites they don’t own. The owner finds them and removes them, usually within weeks.
Sites unrelated to your page
A link to a law firm on a gaming blog does nothing for either reader. The site has to cover your topic.
